"Patrick" completed his Championship with ease by the age of 12 months, excelling in movement and showmanship. He earned his CD, primarily shown by junior handler, Kaleena Ryf. He still believes the title stands for Comedian Dog and demonstrates this on a daily basis. He earned his NA title shown by his junior handler, co-owner and best friend, Michelle. Both "Pat" and Michelle have become a force to be reckoned with in the junior showmanship ring.
They competed at the AKC Eukanuba Invitational Classic in 2001 through 2006, finishing as a Top Twenty Finalist two of the years. Michelle and "Patrick" have been ranked in the Top 5 ECS Junior Handlers in the Nation for the past 6 years. One year, Michelle and "Pat" amassed 21 wins in 41 shows. Quite an impressive feat!
"Patrick" is trained in the field
by Paul and Michelle. His
WD and JH distinction make him a Versatile ECS.
"Patrick" and Michelle tried their hand at
Rally obedience this year and with no formal practice, qualified in 3
straight shows with scores in the 90's.
The caricature of Pat, done by artist McCartney, has him juggling the
fieldwork, the dumbbell, the tennis ball, a Best Junior ribbon and the
Agility weaves in the background. For those of you that have been to the
house, you'll know that the first thing "Patrick" does is untie the tennis
shoes of all who visit here!!! He usually gets so excited that he has
to de-gut a toy in the process! Ha! Ha! Of course the tail never stops.
I thought McCartney did a great job of capturing my silly boy!
